A great New Year so far!!!

Its been so long since I blog and I really hate that I haven't made time to do it. I guess with the kids being home for snow and the holidays its been harder to get on the computer or get them off the computer! Well anyway I really hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year. Christmas was a little hard for me since this was the first one without my mom. I miss her everyday but Christmas without her was very hard. I am sure you all understand.

Well the New Year has started off for me with a great new adventure! I have my first "real" job since Will was born and he is 9 years old. I am working as a Pre K, Special Needs Assistant in our new school here. It is part time 8:15 to 1:15 so I still have time to drop the kids off at school and pick Sydney up from Kindergarten at 2:00. So it work out perfectly for me. I have only worked a few days because we has been out of school due to snow but the few days I have worked I have loved it. The teacher I work with is great and the kids are amazing. I am actually looking forward to working and I know very few people can say that so I feel really blessed to have this job! Oh! and the money isn't to bad either.

So that is my new exciting news! pretty cool, right! Well even though I have been working and the kids are home from school I have still had a little time to play. I have finally completed the calendar for my Father in Law and it was only 2 weeks late! I know that's bad but at least he has it now. Now with these layouts I haven't embellished them like I would have usually just because I didn't want to make the calendar to heavy and we all know how heavy on layout can get sometimes. So I kept these layouts simple with great pictures. Here is a couple of my favorites from the calendar.

 I am sure you have seen a few of these pictures before. These are some of my favorite from the past year. The kids are growing so fast and I love being able to watch them grow through my scrapbooks. Spooky Weekend!!!

I hope everyone has survived the Zombies, Vampires and sugar rushed children. We had a ball Trick or Treating. Halloween is Will's favorite "holiday" which surprises me since he doesn't like socializing much and hates any type of exercise and with Trick or Treating you have to do lots of both.

Here are my little Hero's from last night. Sydney was an AVATAR and Will was S.W.A.T. Sydney was the only AVATAR that we seen so she really got a kick out of that and Will had to "Clear" all the houses before he left. 

I also managed to get a layout done this week. I used Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking on this layout. Fancy Pants is one of my all time favorite companies, and this line is Beautiful.  I am going to have to get some more of it for sure. This layout is of Sydney and a few of her favorite things right now in her life. She is growing so fast and changing so much and its important to me to remember everything I can.

Everyday life.....

Its been so long since I have blogged. I have thought about it almost everyday but there always seemed to be something else needing done or someone else on the computer. I am sure you all know that feeling. So today I decided I would take at least 10 minutes a day to blog. I think I deserve that much. I also think I was not blogging much because since my mom passed away I just had no desire to create, and for me blogging and creating kinda go hand in hand. Well I am happy to say that I am once again creating! I have learned that scrapbooking can be very therapeutic and healing. I have been playing more on my layouts and trying different things. Getting a little more dirtier, if that was even possible. Here are a couple of my layouts that I have made in the last few weeks.

The picture on this layout is one of my favorites of Jason and Sydney. I love to see my strong Husband turn into the gentle daddy and this picture just captures that perfectly. And this paper by Fancy Pants has to be one of my new favorites. I love the soft colors.

This next Layout is of my baby Sydney. In this picture I can really see the Beautiful little lady that she is growing into but the real fact is that she will always be my baby.

Now what a handsome young man I have. Will is always fast with a smile even if it is his best fake one. He loves being in front of the camera!
