A great New Year so far!!!

Its been so long since I blog and I really hate that I haven't made time to do it. I guess with the kids being home for snow and the holidays its been harder to get on the computer or get them off the computer! Well anyway I really hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year. Christmas was a little hard for me since this was the first one without my mom. I miss her everyday but Christmas without her was very hard. I am sure you all understand.

Well the New Year has started off for me with a great new adventure! I have my first "real" job since Will was born and he is 9 years old. I am working as a Pre K, Special Needs Assistant in our new school here. It is part time 8:15 to 1:15 so I still have time to drop the kids off at school and pick Sydney up from Kindergarten at 2:00. So it work out perfectly for me. I have only worked a few days because we has been out of school due to snow but the few days I have worked I have loved it. The teacher I work with is great and the kids are amazing. I am actually looking forward to working and I know very few people can say that so I feel really blessed to have this job! Oh! and the money isn't to bad either.

So that is my new exciting news! pretty cool, right! Well even though I have been working and the kids are home from school I have still had a little time to play. I have finally completed the calendar for my Father in Law and it was only 2 weeks late! I know that's bad but at least he has it now. Now with these layouts I haven't embellished them like I would have usually just because I didn't want to make the calendar to heavy and we all know how heavy on layout can get sometimes. So I kept these layouts simple with great pictures. Here is a couple of my favorites from the calendar.

I am sure you have seen a few of these pictures before. These are some of my favorite from the past year. The kids are growing so fast and I love being able to watch them grow through my scrapbooks. Well I guess that's it for today. I have kids to fed and a scrap room to clean! Hope you have a wonderful day and Thanks for stopping by. Be safe!!!

Moments in time....

Today as I was driving home my mind started wandering and as usual I starter thinking about mom and how very much I miss her. Then I got to thinking of how thankful I was to have so many great pictures of my mom. My sisters take pictures but like most people they only pull out the camera for Birthdays or Holidays. I never seem to put mine away. I actually have more everyday life pictures than I do Holiday pictures. To me it is very important to catch those simple moments and have them to look back on because as time passes those little memories seem to get lost.

My family gets tired of mom pulling out the camera but when they are older they will be thankful that I have so many memories saved in my pictures. They will be able to look back at these pictures with their children and tell the stories that would have been lost.

Because I am such a picture taker I have so many great pictures and I wanted to share a couple of my very favorites with ya'll today. The first one is of my puppy baby CoCo, it was just by chance that I took this picture and it is one of the funniest ones I have.

There is nothing better than goofing off with your best friends and your little sister getting right in the middle of it all! This is Kristin and her 2 best friends.

This picture was taking on vacation this year. I love how the water is arched over them and they are running like their life depends on it!
This one is my very favorite! It is of my girls and was taken at the beach this summer. I am going to have this one blown up and framed. The sun is just amazing!

And of course I have to add my very favorite of my mom. She is holding my Sydney and my Nephew Matt. They are 4 months apart in age. My Mother was never happier than when she was with her grand babies and having this moment in a picture is priceless. There will never again be a moment like this one!

Not having my mom here with me anymore is heart breaking but it would be so much worse if all the pictures I had of her were during Christmas. That the only moments I had of her was while she was opening presents. There is so many more moments and stories that need to be remembered! So today I challenge you all to take a random picture of a random moment in your house. Then share it on your blog and let me know because I would love to see it.

As always Thank you so much for stopping by and I really hope you take a moment to enjoy today and all its moments!

Spooky Weekend!!!

I hope everyone has survived the Zombies, Vampires and sugar rushed children. We had a ball Trick or Treating. Halloween is Will's favorite "holiday" which surprises me since he doesn't like socializing much and hates any type of exercise and with Trick or Treating you have to do lots of both.

Here are my little Hero's from last night. Sydney was an AVATAR and Will was S.W.A.T. Sydney was the only AVATAR that we seen so she really got a kick out of that and Will had to "Clear" all the houses before he left.

I also managed to get a layout done this week. I used Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking on this layout. Fancy Pants is one of my all time favorite companies, and this line is Beautiful.  I am going to have to get some more of it for sure. This layout is of Sydney and a few of her favorite things right now in her life. She is growing so fast and changing so much and its important to me to remember everything I can.

Well its time for me to get back to my house work and hopefully some me time which of course will be spent in my scrap room! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a Beautiful day.

Bad Weather...

What a horrible stormy day we had yesterday. There were Tornado warnings everywhere but thank god no touch downs! When I went to pick up Will from school it was raining hard with wind gusts at 55 mph. We were both soaked by the time we made it to the car.  I love a good clean rain just as much as everyone else but winds that take the shutters off my house I can do without. Today though the storm clouds are moving out and the sun is starting to peek out so it seems the bad weather is over for now.

Another good thing about today is that Jason will be coming home after 10 days in Brazil. This is the longest we have ever been apart and I am starting to feel like a single mom and don't like it. The kids miss him like crazy too, especially Will he doesn't do well with changes at home and daddy being gone really messes with him.

With Jason being gone I have tried to scrap and have gotten a few things done. It always helps me scrap if I have Challenges or am trying to reach a deadline and last weekend there was an on line crop at A Walk Down Memory Lane . Kristen the old owner of Serendipity is hanging out over there so she invited me to join in on the crop. It was a lot of fun and I did manage to get a couple challenges done.

One of them was to create a Non Halloween layout, you had to create a layout using Halloween paper but non Halloween pictures. I decided to use this picture of Sydney because you can just see the little monster in her in this picture.

That look in here eyes is just a little scary don't you think? She reminds me so much of myself its not even funny.

Well that's it for right now. I have a house to clean before Jason gets home and the cloths drier just started beeping so I need to get the cloths folded, Ugh.....Laundry never seems to end. Thank You for stopping by and I really hope you have an wonderful day.

Everyday life.....

Its been so long since I have blogged. I have thought about it almost everyday but there always seemed to be something else needing done or someone else on the computer. I am sure you all know that feeling. So today I decided I would take at least 10 minutes a day to blog. I think I deserve that much. I also think I was not blogging much because since my mom passed away I just had no desire to create, and for me blogging and creating kinda go hand in hand. Well I am happy to say that I am once again creating! I have learned that scrapbooking can be very therapeutic and healing. I have been playing more on my layouts and trying different things. Getting a little more dirtier, if that was even possible. Here are a couple of my layouts that I have made in the last few weeks.

The picture on this layout is one of my favorites of Jason and Sydney. I love to see my strong Husband turn into the gentle daddy and this picture just captures that perfectly. And this paper by Fancy Pants has to be one of my new favorites. I love the soft colors.

This next Layout is of my baby Sydney. In this picture I can really see the Beautiful little lady that she is growing into but the real fact is that she will always be my baby.

Now what a handsome young man I have. Will is always fast with a smile even if it is his best fake one. He loves being in front of the camera!
I think my 10 minutes is long up. Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you here tomorrow! Until then be safe and have a great day!

Fresh Start.....

About 2 weeks ago I went to post on my blog and got this big Error that said my blog had been deleted! Oh Yeah....I was highly upset! I have been trying to get it back ever since and have finally decided that I would start a new one...Yes, I know that's years worth of  my blogging life gone but everyone says a fresh start is good for the soul, I guess I am going to find that out first hand. So please excuse the mess as I get my blog back to being my blog!

Okay a high light of the last 2 weeks....I became a Aunt, Jason's sister Beth and her Hubby had their first child, a boy named Easton, and they are all doing awesome. I will show pictures as soon as I Okay it with Beth.  My kids started school which means, my baby has started Kindergarten. She is crying when I leave her so of course I cry all the way home. Today though we both did a lot better so I am hoping the worse is over. She really is trying to be a big girl but she has my nervous stomach and it starts hurting on the way to school every morning. I just really hope she gets over it soon. Here are pictures of Will and Sydney on their first day. Kristin was in a bad mood this morning, Teenage stuff, so I let her escape the picture taking. I will get her later!

As far as being creative the last week, I wasn't! I did a couple cards but that is all. My free time was going into trying to fix my blog and we all see how that ended. So I will share the cards with you. I used Stamping Up Stamps on both cards. I am really trying to get more creative with my stamps and making cards is a great way to practice.

Thank You so much for stopping by, I will be doing some changes to my blog so keep checking back! I really want to put on a slide show that has all my layouts in it but I have to figure out how! Anyone have any suggestions? Well have a great day and try to stay out of the heat!
